Facebook, Other Blogs, Silent Hill, and Guild Wars2
I just recently started sending freinds invites to the people I know that are on Facebook- mostly family & a few freinds. Prior to yesterday, my page was empty except for PSN trophies and purchases and the transformation that occured was more than a little overwhelming...and scary. I didn't expect the glut of entirely welcome but mostly pointless information I recieved from and about my family and freinds. It was great to see a recent photo of one of my fave cousins, but I haven't seen him since he was maybe 3-5 years old and I was kinda surprised at how much I did still recognize him. Anyways...wierd...
I read on my favorite Survival Horror blog, Games of the Survival Horror Nature by A Female of course I asked but I'm posting this at the same time so I'll take it down if it isn't cool. In the meantime, everyone check out her site.
Speaking of things from other peoples blogs, I've been reading here and there about the new Silent Hill game. IMHO that series hasn't been the same since SH4 (some would say before, but don't mind them). Its something sacred to a lot of us and I just wish Konami would do it proper justice (I don't really have any idea what that might entail other than getting Team Silent back together, which probably won't be happening) or let it rest in peace...or if not in peace, then just it die out or fade away or whatever.
I'm very excited about all the Guild Wars 2 Hype coming out lately. The first Guild Wars trilogy and especially Eye of the North hold a special place in my heart. It was my first game in the genre...I know a lot of people don't consider it an MMORPG. I'm assuming because of their heavy use of instances to help prevent ganking, loot stealing, kill stealing, spawn camping, griefing, etc. The fact that I didn't even know these thing existed before I went on (naively) to try World of Warcraft speaks to its success. Ireally hope they continue this proud tradition. The game looks amazing btw.
Anyways thats all for now. I hope this serves as a good introduction to my blog. I'll try to write another entry when I can. Happy gaming or whatever you do.
